A friend of mine at church had this great idea for Christmas–goodie bags for kids who would go through the food pantry during the Christmas season.  She assembled gift bags with instructions attached and left them on a table at church.  Those who were interested took a bag (or more than one) home and filled it with goodies.  It was returned to church by December 15, and she proceeded to deliver the entire lot to a local food pantry to be distributed.  I think it’s a fabulous idea to bless the kids in your own community!

If you save up little prizes and doodads throughout the year, you should have a stockpile of little gifts ready, come Christmastime.

*Note: She took the bags home and attempted to distribute the items as evenly as possible.  Also, you have the option of designating bags for a specific gender.
