Gift of Salvation Ribbon Box

For our lesson on the Gift of Salvation, we used this box with accompanying ribbon to explain the basics of salvation.  The idea came from The Natural Homeschool.  There’s a little key on top, so you won’t forget what each ribbon color stands for.

You can see how the ribbons are attached.  They start off in the box with just the black ribbon poking out of the hole in the lid.  Start by slowly pulling out the ribbon and as you come to each color, you explain its significance.  Black stands for the sin in our hearts; red for Jesus’ blood which was shed for us so that we may be forgiven; white for forgiveness of sins and purity; green for new life and growth in Christ; and gold for a reward in heaven.
