When telling the story of Joseph and his amazing coat, why not spice it up a bit with a coat that will truly dazzle your eyes?  This is actually a jacket that used to be my grandma’s.  She loved sparkle and bling.  I held onto the jacket because I figured it would be great for some kind of dress up.  When we got to our Joseph lesson, a light bulb went off in my head and I remembered her fabulous jacket.  Having a coat this spectacular when you tell the story, either as an introduction or when acting it out, will help kids understand just how much Joseph’s special coat made him stand out and reminded his brothers that he was their father’s favorite.  Check your local thrift store for something equally as eye-catching!
