Noah’s Ark: the Brick Bible for Kids by Brendan Powell Smith

I’ve been wanting to check out Noah’s Ark: The Brick Bible for Kids for quite a while, and the kids and I stumbled on it at the library just last week.  This is a very nicely-done picture book which tells the story of Noah’s Ark.  Each page has a detailed LEGO scene.

The text is short enough and the pictures large enough that you would be able to read this with a small to medium group of children.  The kids will love the pictures, especially if they are LEGO fans!  I recommend this book as a fun and interesting way to share the Noah’s ark story with your kids.

A couple of things you may not appreciate about the book are that God is portrayed as this white-haired man floating in the sky, and we see LEGO blood in one scene, people in the water outside of the ark, and skeletons once the floodwater has cleared.  These things are not untrue to the story, so I don’t have a problem with them personally.

Additionally, the author is not a Christian and is actually transgender and now known as Elbe Spurling.  I just wanted to let you know ahead of time because I know that some of you would have a real issue with that.
