This is a very simple, yet pretty craft for younger kids to make. It was one of our VBS crafts a couple of years ago, and ours are still holding strong today. I love the look of them. Aren’t the tiny shells adorable?
Materials:
- 2 1/2″ craft sticks
- 4 1/2″ craft sticks
- tiny seashells
- hot glue & glue gun
- Sharpie
- Elmer’s glue
Directions:
1. Give each child a small handful of tiny shells, 1 (2 1/2″) craft stick and 1 (4 1/2″) craft stick.
2. With help from an adult, child can hot glue craft sticks together to make a cross.
3. Write child’s name on back of cross with a Sharpie.
4. Allow hot glue to cool for a few seconds, then use Elmer’s glue to glue seashells to cross.
