For one of our lessons on families, I made this matching game which features many different families.  It was difficult to find flashcards which represented many different types of families, and in the end I thought this was my best option.  Some of the photos look a bit outdated, but overall I think they look great.  (I believe I found these sets on eBay or something.)

To make your own set, use two identical sets of family photo flashcards and laminate them.  Then the kids can flip them over and use them to play a matching game.  If you were really ambitious, you could take photos of the families in your church and use those for the game.  The kids would love that!
