We made this really neat temple snack for our lesson about when twelve-year-old Jesus was left behind after the Passover festival. I like that kids can get creative and use the “building blocks” to make their own version of the temple. For this particular model I used pretzel “dipping sticks,” but pretzel rods or smaller sticks would work, too. Thank you to Steadfast Family for the original idea!
Ingredients:
- String cheese
- Pretzel sticks/rods/dipping sticks
- A variety of crackers
Directions:
- Build a sample temple snack so children can envision what you want them to create.
- Give each child a napkin and a supply of cheese, pretzels and crackers.
- Encourage them to get creative and build their own version of the temple.
